Detailed Description

✦ Where space is precious, every tread counts

Some homes demand that every centimetre earns its place. Where light must move freely and each object must justify its presence. The LUMIA Staircase is for these spaces — a staircase that does not occupy, but liberates. That does not impose, but integrates. Climbing it, you sense you have found the ideal solution: functionality without aesthetic compromise.

✦ When limited space does not mean limited ambition

Perhaps you have a home with a narrow hallway but a loft waiting to become your home office. Perhaps you have an urban duplex where every square metre is carefully accounted for. Or perhaps you need access to an upper level but refuse to sacrifice half a room for a conventional staircase.

The LUMIA was designed for precisely these challenges. With a footprint of just 1,425 × 635 mm and a usable passing width of 600 mm, it slips into spaces where other staircases would never fit. The curved treads — the visual signature of this model — are not merely an aesthetic detail. They permit a steeper pitch, making vertical space genuinely accessible.

✦ What you actually get

Stability you feel at every step
The electrostatic-painted steel structure, combined with stainless steel base feet, creates a solid backbone. The 35 mm solid beech treads do not flex, do not creak. You ascend with confidence, descend with certainty.

Genuine configurational flexibility
Can be installed straight or slightly angled left or right. It adapts to your architecture, not the other way around. An additional tread allows coverage of floor heights up to 3,164 mm.

Materials that speak of quality
European beech — robust, with a fine grain — can be chosen lacquered in natural tone or stained in walnut. The metal structure comes in three options: black for dramatic contrast, grey for understated elegance, white for bright and airy spaces.

Complete, ergonomically considered balustrade
The 40 mm diameter PVC handrail fits comfortably in the hand. The 900 mm balustrade height and 22 mm spindles provide the safety the whole family needs.

✦ Who this staircase is for

For the city-centre duplex where every square metre comes at a premium.
For the newly converted loft that needs elegant access, not a loft ladder.
For the upstairs home office — the climb becomes a ritual, not an effort.
For the compact home with great design ambitions.

Integrates naturally into: minimalist, contemporary, Scandinavian, light-industrial, and modern urban interiors.

✦ SCALUX — Climbing together

Limited space need not mean limited aspirations. The LUMIA Staircase proves you can have it all: minimal footprint, maximum presence. Rigorous functionality, refined aesthetics.

SCALUX — Every step, a step forward.
